Out of Fashion

We live in an era of global consumption where the pace is constantly accelerating. It is no secret that the fashion industry is at the forefront of this race. Thousands of factories in the developing world produce not only garments for major corporations but also tons of toxic waste.

Fashion designer Reet Aus has an ambitious plan to change the world. To her, it seems the only way to fight the harmful fashion industry is to change the system from within. The documentary Out of Fashion follows Reet Aus’s journey from Tallinn, through the fashion runways of Europe and the cotton fields of South America, straight to the epicenter of mass production in Bangladesh.

“The Story of the Black Stork”

How can we explain and demonstrate climate change to children? The “Mežmaliņa” (Latvia) preschool group ”Ķipari”, consisting of children aged 5–6, created an easy-to-understand story to help communicate this topic. This was a large-scale project, and the teachers Anete Veipāne and Daila Balode also invested a great deal of effort in its development.

Take a look at the poster below to learn about the story’s creation process and the story itself. If you watch it on YouTube, subtitles are also available.
